The Natural Park Maremma is located in the province of Grosseto, in the south of Tuscany. The park includes a coastal strip of about 9800 hectares, stretching from Principina a Mare (north) to Talamone (South). The central area of the park is characterized by Monti dell'Uccellina a chain of hills parallel to the coast covered with maquis, of great interest and beauty is also the pinewood of Marina d'Alberese. From a naturalistic view of the area of the park represents an interesting mosaic of ecosystems partly moulded, in past centuries by man without degradarlo. the coast that stretches for about 20 km is a succession of sandy coast from the mouth dell'Ombrone up to Cala Kiln, hence starting reefs which are formed by Monti dell'Uccellina reaching the sea, these reefs extend up to Talamone |
